TOYOTA SOUTH AFRICA MANUFACTURING
DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA
Contracted to TSAM, this project involved
the supply, detailed design, manufacuture and erection of
600 tons of structural steelwork and the supply and erection
of approximately 23 000 meters of carbon and stainless steel
piping to a state-of-the-art automotive painting facility.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA
Facing competition from some of South Africa's most respected, JSE listed contractors, this contract to install and commission a 60 ton Gas Turbine was
won on the technical competence of Redis Construction Afrika’s
erection proposal. Lifting
this multi-million dollar item of equipment into an
already-constructed turbine building required detailed
planning and preparation and the development of a fail proof
erection plan. Final installation went off without incident.

PFG BUILD GLASS
SPRINGS, SOUTH AFRICA
Over an effective 7 months construction
period, this contract involved the supply and erection of 3
500m of piping and the erection of 1100 tons of structural
steelwork to an existing, operational plate glass production
facility.

IMPALA PLATINUM
SPRINGS, SOUTH AFRICA
Forming part of Impala’s BMR Boiler Upgrade
Project, this project included the supply, detailed design,
fabrication and erection of approximately 200 tons of
ducting and duct support structures. Fabricated to rigorous
BS standards, ducting size
ranged from a diameter of 1300mm to 2850mm. Overall length
exceeded 100m and erection over an existing, operating plant
required meticulous planning and coordination with plant
staff.

KAMOTO OPERATING LIMITED
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Tendering against one of South Africa's 'big three' construction companies, this contract to complete the
Structural, Mechanical and Piping works required in the
re-development of a 200 000 ton per annum copper production
facility, was won based on, amongst other things, the
superior experience and competence of our proposed
construction team. Involving the removal and replacement of
54 000m of Carbon
and Stainless Steel Piping, the installation of
approximately a 300 items of mechanical
equipment, and extensive refurbishment work to structural
steelwork and tankage, all works were to be completed within 10 months of the contract being awarded. Based on our performance we were subsequently awarded Phase II and the Roaser Contract

TENKE FUNGURUME MINING PROJECT, DEMOCRATIC REPULIC OF CONGO
Contracted to Freeport-MclMoran, and awarded in January 2008, this project involved the procurement, logistics, transportation and erection of 65km's of piping work to the Tenke Fungurume Mining Project and includes the supply of all management, supervision, labour, plant and equipment. Situated in Katanga Province, DRC, Tenke Fungurume will, on completion, be the largest Copper processing plant in the DRC and one of the largest in Southern Africa. The mine location is very remote with the nearest city being Lubumbashi, about 4 hours travel by road.
